27th Sept 2010 - Royal Mail introduces Mailsort70

Royal Mail have released Mailsort70 - a new Mailsort service that will eventually replace Mailsort700 and Mailsort120. The plan is to phase out Mailsort700 by April 2011 and Mailsort120 by April 2012.

This particular Maisort service is designed to require less sortation; ultimately saving you time and money.

Here are the key benefits and features:

• Sort to only 85 selections (eventually reducing to 70)
• Substantially fewer selections than MS700 & MS120
• Entry level is 20,000 items
• Letter format only
• Items go in trays, instead of bags, resulting in less damage to mail
• Directs only, no residues
• Must be OCR or CBC
• Sustainable Mail MS70 variant is available
• Usual MS1, MS2 & MS3 delivery speeds available
• Cheaper than using MS120
