Laser Printing

Direct Mail is a personal medium and your letter the most personal piece. It's the item the vast majority of recipients will read first and they will judge you by the content, look and feel of the letter.

Economising on the weight of the paper you use for your direct mail letter can have a detrimental affect on response, especially when selling luxury items, so our laser printers can print on laser friendly paper up to 200gsm in weight.

If you want to use a non-standard paper, let us have samples we can check in advance and before you have gone to the expense of buying it in bulk and overprinting it with your letterhead.

Technical Matters

For producing direct mail letters, we use a network of Xerox 4110 digital laser printers. These are extremely versatile and run at 6,600 sheets per hour for simplex laser printing without any sacrifice of quality.

The same laser printers run at 4,500 sheets per hour for duplex lasering if your direct mail letter runs to more than a single side of a page.

We can print from DL envelope size (110 x 220mm) up to A3 size (297 x 420mm), allowing you to have personalised envelopes, invitation cards, reply cards and certificates.

If you are using an A5 (148 x 210mm) format we can laser 2-up onto A4 and provide an instant cost saving because you are producing two mailing letters whilst being charged for a single A4 sheet. This can also be done for various sub A4 sizes
